A Delicious Date Shake (Dairy and Vegan) and a Visit to the Farm

April 14, 2016 By Kerensa 10 Comments

We spent most of the winter in the desert and heard about the area’s famous date shakes. I began looking for them soon after. Somehow, they eluded me for the first couple of months. We never had the chance to visit the date farm in Yuma. We missed the place recommended to us on the…

7 Reasons to Love Burlington, Vermont

October 14, 2015 By Kerensa 4 Comments

We fell hard for Burlington, Vermont. From the mountains to Lake Champlain to the restaurants and artisan food, this place had everything we crave. In no particular order, here are seven reasons to love Burlington, Vermont. Factory Tours Do you watch “How It’s Made” on tv? Then maybe you’re like us and love factory tours….

Maple Pumpkin Spice Muffins- An Ode to Fall in Vermont

September 30, 2015 By Kerensa 2 Comments

Maple syrup and Vermont go together like peas and carrots…which I actually hate, so maybe that’s not the best comparison. How about peanut butter and jelly? Either way, I dare you to not think of maple syrup when Vermont is mentioned, I know I do. Before we took off on our full-time adventure, we used…

Florida Key Lime Pie: The Search for the Perfect Slice and How to Make Your Own

August 13, 2015 By Kerensa 5 Comments

One of our first destinations in the RV was the Florida Keys and as the main devourer of this journey, I felt it was my duty to try all the key lime pies I could in our brief time on the islands. I started in Key Largo at Mrs. Mac’s Kitchen and their Keys’ introduction…

Taking a bite out of the Nature Coast

February 17, 2015 By Kerensa 6 Comments

While exploring the waters of the Crystal River, Florida area, we made sure to do a little food exploration, too. After our paddle up and dive down Rainbow River, we made a stop at the Blue Gator in Dunnellon. It’s mainly bar food, but good after the exertion and Brandon was a happy camper with the…

Ohio and the Case for Better Planning

December 10, 2014 By Kerensa 3 Comments

We had a few goals when we drove through Ohio on our way back to Indiana. First we would meet up with our RVing friends, the Snowmads. Then we’d head down to Mansfield to see an old college buddy. While there, we really wanted to visit the old Ohio State Reformatory that was used in the…

Austin Taco Round Up

September 18, 2014 By Kerensa 1 Comment

You can’t go to Austin without eating a taco.  Taco joints are all around the city and heated discussions can arise on which one is best.  Below is a rundown of the taco joints we made it to while in Austin.  This is by no means comprehensive as we’d have to eat tacos every day…

Austin Pizza Roundup

September 18, 2014 By Drive. Dive. Devour. 1 Comment

I like pizza.  Brandon LOVES pizza.  So when we got to Austin, he compiled a list of pizza places for us to try based on his research and opinions from local redditors and others.  We didn’t make it to all of them (I wish we had gotten out to Pieous because they have other types of pies,…

Our Mission

Kerensa and Brandon- Drive Dive Devour

Drive- We switched our stationary life to travel the US in a motorhome and explore all its unique regions and cities. We’ll give you the low down on our favorite finds, so you can experience each locale with us or when you visit yourself!

Dive- You can scuba dive anywhere if you try hard enough!  The Keys were a fantastic diving spot, but the Texas missile silo was pretty cool, too.  Brandon’s out to prove the US is a dive destination.

Devour- We love to find local foods and experience regional dishes when we travel whether it’s at a restaurant, in a shop, or at the farmer’s market.  We’ll dive into regional cuisine tasting what is on offer and then recreating some of the dishes at home- often with a vegetarian twist.
